CEOs, Business owners, HR departments, and Managers more and more are recognizing the need and benefit of coaching within their organization and business. Why? There are number of reasons. But before I share a few reasons, let’s start with a working definition for coaching:Coaching can be defined as: the process of equipping and helping individuals fully develop themselves, thereby unleashing their potential and producing effective results in their lives, careers, businesses or organizations.Why coaching? Here are a few reasons:Clarity of Vision/Purpose. Clarity is power. Coaching within the workplace helps to provide clarity of the organizations vision and goals for increased effectiveness. A vision that is clear and effectively communicated provides greater awareness and focus on what is important.Personnel Development and Engagement. Coaching adds value to the individuals within the organization by providing an environment that unleashes their potential. They become more innovative, productive and committed to the organization. As a result they add value to their organization by being and giving their best in accomplishing the goals, taking ownership and seeing the possibilities in their role in fulfilling the vision and accomplishing organizational goals.Navigating the Gap. Often leaders, managers and individuals know where they want to go and what they need to do, but for some reason they just cannot seem to move forward. Coaching plays a key role in helping you get un-stuck by helping you identify and eliminate both blind spots and limiting beliefs that are barriers to moving forward and getting results. There is a saying: “You can’t see the picture frame when you are in the picture.” And Just like an athlete cannot see himself in action on the playing field, so an employee, supervisor, manager or leader cannot see themselves in action. Coaching can help you see what you cannot see and through skillful questioning help you figure out what you may not know or be aware of in order to get you moving forward. Coaching helps you navigate the gap to get the results you want and reach your destination.Accountability. Coaching helps keep you on track and moving forward toward your goals and higher levels of achievement by holding you responsible and accountable. The coach is not a judge but as a supportive witness to what you have discovered and decided to achieve and become through the coaching process. When certain actions or goals are not achieved within certain timelines set by you, the coach will help you investigate through inquiry the thinking pattern or belief system keeping you from taking action and moving forward. The coach will help you examine how to re-pattern the thinking to empower you so you can move forward.Lastly, the 2014 Global Coaching Client Study conducted on behalf of the International Coach Federation found that of those individuals who had received coaching:99% indicated that there were “somewhat or fully satisfied with their coaching experience”96% said they would do it again80% saw improved self-confidence73% saw improved relationships72% saw improved communication skills70% saw improved work performance61% saw improved business management57% saw improved time management51% saw improved team performanceThe above are not all the reasons for coaching; however they are compelling reasons.Bottom Line: If you do not like where you are right now or the results you, your team or organization are experiencing, the coaching process will help you to grow, develop, shift and accelerate the results you do want in your organization, business and personal life. Charles AllenSpeaker, Trainer, and Life Mastery ConsultantPinnacle Transformational Coaching512.516.9781 (cell)512.704.9483 (office)www.ptcallen.comEmail: Charles@ptcallen.com ShareTweet "},{"@context":"https://schema.org/","@type":"BreadcrumbList
@type":"ListItem
{"@type":"ListItem
