Even with allthe planning we’ve done, we’ve never used a pandemic as one of the scenarios totest, so there are a few items we’ve had to figure out along the way.How we keep Coronavirus-freeResearchershave found that COVID-19 can remain viable for between two and three days onplastic and steel, which are commonly used in electronic devices. The sameresearch shows that the coronavirus can survive up to 24 hours on cardboard —sowipe that Amazon box down when it arrives. On copper materials, research showsthat it only lives for four hours. Because a pandemic was not one of thescenarios we’ve planned for, UniVista has come up with processes toreceive, clean and distribute packages to limit spread of the infection. Ourprocess includes spraying the boxes with a hydrogen peroxide solution from the EPA Approved list of products thatkill Corona virus , along with wiping the boxes down with EPAApproved Costco Cleaning wipes (Shameless Costco plug). Our defaultmode is to work from home but if we do go to the office, our internal processincludes Social Distancing and cleaning work areas plus all items contained inthose areas before and after use with Costco Cleaning wipes (Another Costcoplug).Keepingitems you use Coronavirus-freeSinceresearch has also shown that the only thing that we touch more than our face(average – .38 times per minute) is our cell phone (average -1.817 times perminute), you’ll probably want to clean it often because it may have beencontaminated.“Using a 70percent isopropyl alcohol wipe or Clorox Disinfecting Wipes, you may gentlywipe the hard, nonporous surfaces of your Apple product, such as the display,keyboard, or other exterior surfaces,” the company said. “Don’t use bleach.Avoid getting moisture in any opening, and don’t submerge your Apple product inany cleaning agents. Don’t use on fabric or leather surfaces.”Apple’srecommendation for cleaning their iPhone and iPad products is as follows:Usea 70 % isopropyl alcohol wipe or disinfecting wipe; Useonly a soft, lint-free cloth. Avoid abrasive cloths, towels, paper towels, orsimilar items;Avoidexcessive wiping, which may cause damage;Unplugall external power sources, devices, and cables;Keepliquids away from the product, unless otherwise noted for specific products;Don’tget moisture into any openings;Don’tuse aerosol sprays, bleaches, or abrasives;Don’tspray cleaners directly onto the item.Don’tuse bleach. Don’tsubmerge your Apple product in any cleaning agents. Don’tuse on fabric or leather surfaces.The bestpiece of advice to take away from this, is to avoid sharing your Apple productswith others. That includes your phones, tablets, laptops and computeraccessories. Keeping intouchThis hashonestly been the hardest thing to overcome because we thrive on the personalrelationships we share with you, our customers, and each other. We alreadyused Microsoft Teams but now its our bread and butter product. I probably havefour or five sessions a day with other teammates in Teams where we sharescreens, talk, and share documents with each other. Teams is also handy for avirtual happy hour. If you’re not utilizing Teams and you are hosted throughOffice 365 then please bring this up to your Univista Account Manager, or amember of my staff and we can schedule a call with you to show you the basics. I’ve alsoused Houseparty to keep in touch with family and friends. Its likeMicrosoft Teams except it has games that you can play. Tell us whatyou’ve discovered. Is there anything we can help you with? Let your AccountManager know. UniVista is always here to help.ShareTweet "},{"@context":"https://schema.org/","@type":"BreadcrumbList
@type":"ListItem
{"@type":"ListItem
